The Specific objectives of the Institute as Follows

To Develop Competencies of the Middle level Extension Personnel in
effective dissemination of technologies and in execution of extension programmes.
To develop skills of the trainers in conducting and managing
programmes .
To develop skills and middle level functionaries in organizing,
planning and managing extension programmes .
To identify and develop effective tools and techniques in the areas
of communication and extension management and to disseminate those among extension
personnel .
To conduct researches in different aspects extension education and
in the region .
