For any major requirment of the health the villagers has to go to Uppal the near by city about 5 km away from the village. There is a Govt health centre for the villagers in Uppal for the primary needs. The bigest Govt health centre for the villagers, is at Ghatkesar which is about 18 km away from the village. Other than the health centres there is a Anganwadi teacher and village dayee to meet the primary needs of the villagers.
Anganwadi Teacher :
Anganwadi teacher has an important role in the village. The actuall role of Anganwadi teacher has came in to picture from a State Govt scheme called Integrated Child Develop Scheme. This programme has started in 1970's to now the reasons of the child deaths. There will be 1 Anganwadi teacher for every 1000 number of population in the villages.
The main role of Anaganwadi Teacher is to teach the children below 5 yrs, various good habits and increase their intrest towards the education by teaching them by songs and stories. They also under take health awareness programmes in the village, feeding the children above 6 months, giving symbolic representation for the mothers through charts about the healthy habits, they conduct regular check ups of the children, and also give suggestions about the growth of the children.
Other than the above activities they also inform every member of the self-help groups the dates of meetings to be conducted in the village.
Village Dayee :
Village Dayee is a local women of the village who is trained by the Govt Nurse. She looks after the pregnancy cases in the village. She meets the primary requirements of the pregnancy, if any case is serious she will recommend to the hospitals.
