Present Work

Joined MANAGE in1997. Looking after organisation of Cyberary collection which include books, journals, videos, CD-ROMs and newsletters. The main activities involve classification of books by using UDC classification scheme and maintenance of serials in the Cyberary.  Developing database on books, journal articles and other Cyberary holding by using LIBSYS software.

Documentation work such as abstracting journal articles, indexing literature,  offering current awareness services, literature search, preparation of bibliographies, information services based on in-house databases , CD-ROM databases and the Internet. Maintains membership details of library users and responsible for circulation of books,videos and other material.

Work Experience

Worked as Project Associate in CORD ( Center on Rural Documentation), National Institute of Rural Development, Hyderabad from 1994 to 1997 for standardization of CORD database.

Worked as Librarian in a private degree college from 1993 to 1994.

Diploma / Certificate

• Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation  and Networking (PGDLAN) from the University of Hyderabad.

• Computer Training by NIIT at MANAGE.

Project report on 'Information Systems & Networks in India' submitted to the University of Hyderabad for partial fulfillment of PGDLAN.

• Course on Team building skills at MANAGE in 1997

• Training workshop on Information services for gender and development held in NIRD, Hyderabad in collaboration with CEDS, New Delhi.

• Programme on Internet for Agricultural Information Communication at MANAGE in 1998.

• Special Training Programme on LIBSYS at Bangalore in 2000.

IT skills

• Familiar with MS Office, SQL, VisualBasic, FrontPage and Internet browsing.

• Can handle library automation packages like LIBSYS and CDS/ISIS.
