The Genesis

MANAGE was created in 1987 as the National Centre for MANagement of AGricultural Extension, from which its acronym 'MANAGE' is derived. In 1992 its status was elevated to that of a National Institute in recognition of its importance and re-christened into its present name. The acronym was, however, retained since it reflected its prime concern so well.
