PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT
1.0 ADMISSIONS
1.1 Eligibility
The minimum qualification for admission into
the programme is a 4-year bachelors degree in
Agriculture and Allied sciences, Veterinary sciences
from any Agricultural University or Institution
as recognized by the ICAR/UGC. The minimum eligibility
for application is a second division or equivalent
OGPA as per the concerned University rules. Candidates
who are to complete their graduation this year
but are unable to submit their provisional certificate
and marks sheet along with the application may
also apply. They must, however, submit along with
their application, their mark sheets/grade card
indicating the cumulative marks/OGPA till the
previous year/semester and also indicate the same
in the application form. Their provisional eligibility
will be decided based on the same. If selected,
they may seek provisional admission into the programme
on payment of the required fees and other charges
as specified. After joining the programme, they
will have to submit the provisional degree certificate
and aggregate marks/OGPA.
The provisional admission will automatically
stand cancelled in the event of the student
(1) Being unable to submit the provisional degree
certificate and final aggregate marks/OGPA. (2) Falling short of the minimum eligibility
percentage /OGPA in the final marks sheet.
All applicants are required to submit Xerox /
attested copies of a complete set of documents
as indicated in the Application form at the time
of enrolment. They must produce the original documents
for verification at the time of admission.
1.2 Selection procedure
A multi-stage, selection procedure will be followed
for admitting candidates, as described below:
All applicants fulfilling the eligibility criteria
for application will be invited to appear for
Computer Based Objective Test (CBOT) in the following
areas.
Knowledge of Agricultural Technology (KAT), which
would include the questions in the following areas:
Agriculture
Agricultural Engineering
Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
Fisheries
Food Sciences
Forestry
Horticulture
Crop Production and Protection
The Management Aptitude Test (MAT)
Quantitative aptitude
Statistics
Reasoning
Proficiency in English
Based on the rank obtained as per the CBOT, short-listed
candidates will be called to appear at MANAGE
for final selection. The final selection events
will include, inter alia:
Assessment of communication ability
Group discussions
Personal interview
The final merit rank will be based on the weighted
summation of points earned in all the assessment
items mentioned above.
2.0 FEES AND OTHER PAYABLES
The fees and other charges payable for the course
are as follows:
2.1 Tuition fee
The total tuition fee payable for the 2-year programme
is Rs. 2,00,000/ - payable in two equal installments
of Rs. 1,00,000/- each. The first installment is
to be paid at the time of enrolment. The next installment
is to be paid by the first day of the
fifth trimester. The fees include cost of instructional
events, course material and support activities,
etc.
2.2 Library Fees
A Library Fee of Rs.10,000/- per year is payable
along with the tuition fee.
2.3 Library Caution Money
One-time deposit of Rs.2,000/- is payable at
the time of enrolment and refundable on completion
of the programme after recovery of dues, if any.
2.4 Computer Lab Fees
A Computer Lab Fee of Rs.10, 000/- per year is
payable along with the tuition fee.
2.5 Board & Lodging Charges
The programme is fully residential. The total
board and lodging charges is Rs. 1,10,000/- payable
in five equal instalments of Rs. 20,000/- on the
day of commencement of each trimester and Rs.
10,000/ - for the VII th trimester, except trimester
IV i.e., the summer project period.
2.6 Hostel Caution Money
One-time deposit of Rs.2,000/- is payable at
the time of enrolment and refundable on completion
of the programme after recovery of dues, if any.
3.0 STUDY LOANS
Many of MANAGE students in the past have availed
the facility of educational loans from nationalized
banks. MANAGE can facilitate, but does not guarantee,
the process of availing study loans and the repayment
of loan is solely the responsibility and liability
of the student.
4.0 PLACEMENT
Major Agri-Business companies have recruited
students of this programme as management trainees,
besides providing summer placement opportunities.
100% placement has been achieved, so far, since
the very first batch of the programme. The major
sectors for which placement demands have been
coming forth include Agro-chemicals, Seeds, Agro
processing, Fertilizers, Retailing, IT and Service
Sector. The students play a key role in planning
and execution of placement process including preparation
of mailing lists, designing and printing of placement
brochure, etc.
5.0 CALENDAR OF EVENTS
The programme consist of 7 trimesters. The calendar
of events are given below:

Session Timings
Daily four classroom periods are scheduled as
under:
Period - 1 09.20 - 10.30 hrs
Period - 2 10.45 - 12.00 hrs
Period - 3 14.30 - 15.40 hrs
Period - 4 16.00 - 17.10 hrs
Rest of the time is to be used for library consultations,
computers and work on course related assignments,
etc. This time will also be available to the students
for seeking personal consultations with faculty
for clarifications on course inputs as and when
required.
