contains a series of success stories covering states of Andhra
Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra. Both government and voluntary
agencies have been covered. Coverage is on Watershed development in
Andhra Pradesh, Indo-German project with NABARD, Ralegaon Siddhi
experience, Vanarai and Myrada. The visuals contain the actual field
situation as narrated by the people themselves working in watershed
development project.

is on the orientation programme organized by MANAGE on new
dimensions of Agriculture for farm women group leaders from
different districts of Andhra Pradesh, including Krishna, Nizamabad,
Guntur, Adilabad, Nalgonda, Khammam, Mahbubnagar, Kurnool, Chittoor
and Ranga Reddy. Aspects on which the farmwomen were oriented
include watershed management, post harvest management, input and
output management, value addition, marketing, WTO, use of
information and communication technology in agriculture, nutrition
and health.

Agricultural Extension)

Focus is on Cyber Extension i.e. the application of information and
communication technologies in agricultural extension, to meet the
information needs of farmers through multiple sources of
information. The network of IT facilitators who have been associated
in building the cyber capabilities among ATMA, SAMETI officials, and
members of Sneha MACTS societies is also covered. The process of
linking institutions and networking stakeholders through use of
information and communication technologies is focused upon.
4. Parivartan:
A film on Participatory Adaptive Research Project
Duration: 20 min.
Focus is on Participatory Adaptive Research Project, an IFAD
assisted project of the Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare department
implemented in three centres viz.,Bhadrachalam in Khammam district,
Rampachodwaram in East Godavari and Utnoor in Adilabad district. The
film gives the focus of the project which is on crop /commodity
oriented research, farm and farming systems approach and Social
resource management, documents the progress of the project and its
impact on the tribal farmers. Besides agriculture other enterprises
are also focused upon. The impact of the project is documented
through the narratives of the project team from MANAGE, policy
makers and farmers.

Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA)
has been established in all pilot districts under NATP to serve as a
focal point for integrating research and extension activities and
decentralize day to day management of the public agricultural
technology system.The film
conveys the importance of Farmers Organizations for the success of
ATMA.
Focus is on the Innovations in Technology Dissemination (ITD)
component under the National Agricultural Technology Project,
objectives of ITD, with emphasis on the objectives, to empower
farmers through Farmers Organizations. The film covers the training
programme organized to orient leaders of Farmers Organizations,
Farmer Interest Groups and self help groups of pilot districts under
ITD, the objectives of the training which is to create an awareness
among farmers on the importance of FOs in making ATMA sustainable
and to see that the public extension system is more demand driven.
Process of organizing farmers is also documented with some cases of
successful farmers organizations in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra,
MACTS in Andhra Pradesh.Carries the message of the importance of
Farmers Organizations for the success of ATMA.

on the importance of developing a network of Farmers’
Organizations(FO) at the from village level to help farmers for a
stable, sustainable and diversified agriculture. Coverage is on the

Agricultural Technology Management Agency, process of formation of
FIGs and FOs, need for FOs, project interventions under NATP in
capacity building, establishing linkages, diversification, women
groups, exposure visits, market orientation and access to
information through Information and communication technologies, and
empowerment of farmers. Narratives are by farmers, women interest
group leaders, consultants and policy makers. Role of MANAGE in
capacity building of personnel and institutions with focus on
capacity building and empowerment of farmers is covered. The film

the commodities marketed is also covered. Views of the Agriculture
Minister, policy makers are highlighted. The impact of Ryuthu
Bazaars on farmers and consumers is highlighted through a series of
narratives by farmers and consumers.
