Mandate

Though the institute have not circulated any mandate for SIAM but with a mission of transforming the existing extension set up as more effieicent in transfer of modern agriculture technology through professional guidance and training to inservice extension functionaries SIAM has responsibility to work in the following directions:

Organising need based trainings for officials of the Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation, Horticulture and other allied departments / bodies.

Working as a centre for conducting studies in the field of Agriculture in order to develop inside into existing system and proactive required reorientation and modernisation of agriculture.

Developing linkagge with prominent international, national, state and district level institutes and bodies working in the field of agriculture and allied sector.

So that we may be recognised as the best among the agricultural management institute for HRD, problem diagnosis and facilitating organisational effectiveness.

However, with all sort of support from the Department of Agriculture SIAM was trying to establish a desired and fulfledged status of a state level Agriculture Management Institute but the financial constraint is the major bottleneck in the development of expected trainings status, facilities and infrastrucutre, so far.
