Rajasthan is the state covering largest land area of the country. But it is not rich in the natural resources and their production capacity is depleting day by day. This warrants the necessity of having our major natural resources land and water conserved and utilised in a sustainable manner. Ever increasing population is pressurizing us to do something with stagnated agricultural production. 

SIAM is mandated to improve the working skills and professional competence of agricultural officers and prepare them to face national and global challenges that influence the farm management.

SIAM believes that Information Technology will help transfer agricultural technologies to the farmers. SIAM promotes use of IT in its activities and initiate networking activities among line department. Realising the need of use of IT, we at SIAM organise capacity building programs for Officers and Staff of all line department in all the areas of information technology.

To meet the above objectives, SIAM would would undertake the following actions:

  • Undertaking systematic studies on technology transfer to gain insight into the present systems.

  • Imparting training in the area of management of sustainable farming.

  • Collaborating  with institutions for promoting IT networking initiatives.
