About the Program
India’s fisheries sector is undergoing a dynamic transformation, fueled by the emergence of fisheries startups that are bringing modern, technology-driven answers to long-standing farming challenges. To keep this wave of innovation thriving, it has become essential to inspire and empower young talent—especially students in fisheries and allied fields—by providing them with hands-on exposure, entrepreneurial know-how, and an in-depth understanding of the fisheries startup ecosystem.

To address this need, MANAGE – Fisheries Innovation and Startup Hub (M-FISHub), Hyderabad, runs a unique internship program designed to nurture young minds into future-ready fisheries leaders and impactful change-makers.

Objectives of the Program

• To immerse interns in the world of fisheries innovation by involving them in startup incubation practices, aquapreneurship development, and dynamic activities such as stakeholder connect programs, pre-incubation initiatives, and startup support systems.
• To sharpen interns’ research and documentation abilities through engaging case studies on fisheries startups, insightful impact evaluations of incubation services, and the creation of compelling content for digital visibility.

Scope of the Internship Experience

• Extending active support to MANAGE-FISHub initiatives.
• Designing and delivering mentoring programs tailored for fisheries startups.
• Hosting insightful fortnightly webinars on the fisheries startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem
• Crafting engaging content to amplify presence across social media platforms.
• Visiting fisheries startups and capturing their journeys through well-documented case studies.

Eligible Participants
Post-graduate and Ph.D. students specializing in Fisheries Extension, Agricultural Extension or any other discipline of Fisheries Sciences.

Structure of the program
This is a paid internship program with a duration of Three to six months. A total of six candidates will be selected for the internship.

How to Apply
Once MANAGE-FISHub opens the application process, interested candidates are required to follow the steps below:
Step 1: Email a one-page CV highlighting your relevant skills, experiences, and academic background.
Step 2: After an initial screening of applications, shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview.
Step 3: Based on the interview, the top six candidates will be selected for the internship program.
