Participant of International training programme on “New Generation Competencies for Agripreneurs - January 15 - 28, 2025”
I am EsnartKalunga from Malawi. I work with the Ministry of Agriculture under the Department of Agricultural Extension Services. I serve as the Principal Agriculture Gender Roles Extension Support Services Officer.
First of all, I would like to thank the Government of India for providing this opportunity through the ITEC program, allowing participants from various countries to take part in the course titled "New Generation Competencies for Agripreneurs" at this esteemed institution.
Through this course, I have learned a number of valuable lessons. The program included classroom sessions as well as field visits to various institutions, where we gained practical knowledge and insights. I sincerely thank MANAGE for the excellent organization and coordination of the course. The interactions with different institutions have enriched our learning experience and will help us take back meaningful initiatives to our respective countries.
For instance, I observed the strong coordination among various stakeholders—government bodies, research institutions, and financial organizations—who work together effectively to support Agripreneurs. I also learned about several interventions that are being promoted to help startups grow their businesses and ensure sustainability. These include access to financing, market linkages, and mentorship, which are all critical for startup success.
I am truly grateful to MANAGE for this opportunity to be part of such an impactful course. I also extend my gratitude to my home country, Malawi, for nominating me to participate.
