Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Program

Learning gives creativity, creativity leads to thinking, thinking provides knowledge, and knowledge makes you great.

-Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

About ITEC The Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Program, established in 1964, is the flagship capacity-building initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. As one of the oldest institutionalized international training programs, ITEC has trained over 200,000 officials from more than 160 countries worldwide.
ITEC offers nearly 10,000 fully-funded, in-person training opportunities each year through nearly 400 specialized courses, which are conducted at over 100 prestigious institutions in India. These courses cover a wide array of fields, including governance, healthcare, education, and economic development, enabling participants to build their capacities and skills.
In addition to its regular training calendar, ITEC also responds to specific requests from countries, offering customized training programs tailored to the unique needs of those nations, delivered by India’s top educational and research institutions
