Participant of International training programme on “New Generation Competencies for Agripreneurs - January 15 - 28, 2025”
I am Gayetree Devi from Mauritius, and I work for the Food and Agricultural Research and Extension Institute, an agency under the Ministry of Agro-Industry, Food Security, Blue Economy, and Fisheries.
The training on “New Generation Competencies for Agripreneurs” has been very enlightening. I have gained significant exposure to various business models, and the visits have been extremely enriching. I had the opportunity to observe several institutions equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and advanced research and development departments, which support Agripreneurs from the conception of their ideas to the launch of their products.
The incubation centres, in particular, play a vital role in the success of Agripreneurs. These centres offer technical and financial support, and provide opportunities to test products before they are introduced to the market. Such business models and incubation centres are essential for the growth and sustainability of Agripreneurial ventures.
It is crucial for Agripreneurs to receive comprehensive support—whether technical or financial—so that they can succeed in their entrepreneurial journeys.
I would like to sincerely congratulate MANAGE for taking this remarkable initiative in organizing this training. My heartfelt thanks to MANAGE, ITEC, the Government of India, and the Government of Mauritius.
