About the Program The agricultural sector in India is undergoing a significant transformation, driven by the forces of innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship. In this evolving landscape, Agri-Startups have emerged as powerful agents of change, offering innovative solutions to address the persistent challenges faced by farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices across the country. Recognizing the immense potential of these emerging enterprises, it is vital to empower and build the capacities of key stakeholders within the Agri-Startup ecosystem. Strengthening the ecosystem requires concerted efforts in mentorship, knowledge dissemination, and institutional support. The Centre for Innovation and Agripreneurship (CIA), hosted at the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad, plays a pioneering role in this transformation. As a premier institution under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, MANAGE-CIA is committed to launching and promoting innovative agricultural extension strategies and agri-business development programs across the nation. In line with its mission to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship in agriculture, MANAGE-CIA organizes the National Faculty Development Program (NFDP) on Agri-Innovation and Incubation Ecosystem to Mentor Agri-Startups and Agri-Business in India. The aim is to build a vibrant ecosystem where faculty members, scientists, and officials can effectively mentor and guide aspiring Agri-Startups and agripreneurs. The program focuses on developing new competencies among participants to establish, manage, and support incubation centres, while also fostering networking opportunities within the Agri-Startup innovation and incubation ecosystem.
