Objectives

:

 To create awareness about the concept and importance of Farmer Producer Organizations in the present scenario  To impart skill and knowledge on formation of Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) and also on the necessary legal framework followed in their formation  To sensitize participants about legal provisions governing farmers-organization mainly the FPCs covering procedure for incorporation of FPCs under Companies Act  To train the participants in different aspects of day-to-day management of FPCs – book keeping, Auditing, Project appraisal, disputes resolution, participatory management etc.

Our training program on Farmer Producer Company (FPO) management is designed to empower stakeholders with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the complexities of operating successful FPOs. Through comprehensive sessions, participants will delve into the fundamental concepts of FPOs, understanding their legal framework, governance structures, and operational mechanisms. We'll explore key areas such as financial management, marketing strategies, value addition, and risk management, equipping attendees with practical tools to optimize their FPO's performance and ensure sustainable growth. Additionally, the program will emphasize the importance of building strong networks and collaborations to leverage resources and opportunities effectively. By the end of the training, participants will emerge with a clear roadmap for steering their FPOs towards prosperity and positively impacting the livelihoods of farmers in their communities.

Methodology

:

The training program, conducted via the WebEx platform, will span three days from May 14-16, 2024, with six sessions covering various management aspects of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). Day one will introduce the basics and concept of FPO formation and farmer aggregation, while day two and three will exclusively focus on FPO management. Participants will gain the skills needed to enhance FPO efficiency through better management and take their organizations to the next level.
