Mandate

  • To strengthen the human resource base, which in turn supports and empowers FPOs to fulfil their mandates and achieve sustainable development for their farmer members

Objectives

  • To enhance the skills of extension functionaries by providing training and developing middle level extension officers to have improved skills and knowledge
  • To showcase innovative marketing strategies and business approaches to FPO members
  • To conduct field level action research to address practical challenges faced by farmers and FPOs
  • Providing consultancy services to development agencies, state governments and others who are involved in the formation and promotion of FPOs

  • Business Plan Development: Equip FPOs with skills to create viable business plans.
  • Value Chain Centric Agribusiness: Focus on skills to develop and sustain value chains for FPOs.
  • Market Linkages: Training to connect FPOs to markets and understand different business opportunities.
  • Financial Literacy: Imparting knowledge on financial management for farmers and the organization.
  • Good Governance: Training for FPO boards on transparency, accountability, and effective functioning.
  • Leadership & Communication: Developing leadership qualities and communication skills for FPO members and leaders.
  • Legal Compliance: Creating awareness on legal aspects and regulatory compliances for FPOs.
  • Simplified Processes: Informing FPOs about simplified licensing and compliance procedures to help them operate smoothly.
