Objectives

The participants will benefit in the following ways: • 1. To better understand the technical knowledge about natural and organic farming, such as input production, packaging, and practises, based on the farmer’s experiences. • 2. To be well informed about the on-farm resource utilisation, certification, and marketing of natural and organically grown produce. • 3. To inform the participants about the solution of different problems through organic and natural farming, such as food insecurity, farmers’ distress, and health problems arising due to pesticide and fertiliser residue in food, soil, and water, as well as about global warming and its impact on climate change. • 4. To be attentive to the potential to generate employment through organic and natural farming, thereby stemming the migration of rural youth.

 History, Concept and Practicing of Natural Farming.  Natural Farming principles, practices and its integrated approach.  Importance of Organic Farming of in Vegetable production and Nutritional Improvement.  Components of Natural Farming  Importance and implementation of Natural Farming in Indian Agriculture System for sustainable productivity.  Value Addition in Naturally Farming Produced Fruits and Vegetables for Improving Farmer and Rural People's Socioeconomic Status  Organic Certification of Horticultural crops- Principles & Procedure  Natural Farming for Sustainable Agriculture: Farm level evidences  Extension strategies to enhance acreage of organic and natural farming  Cereal Crops production under natural farming  Introduction to organic farming and Nutrition management in organic farming  Organic & Natural Production technology of Dragon Fruits.  Valedictory to participants- MANAGE and BAMETI.  Online Examination- Objective types Question.

Methodology

:

1. Course will be offered online through WebEx Platform 2. The content will be delivered through live online sessions, presentations and live interactions. 3. WebEx link will be sent to the registered candidates 4. Program period 03 days from 26-28 June 2023 5. It will be followed by an online Examination on 28 June 2023 6. On the last day, candidates will have to appear for the objective type exam (Multiple Choice Questions) Candidates with a score of more than 50% marks and 75 per cent of attendance will get the Participation certificate
