Vision, Mandate, Major Focus

Vision

To facilitate innovations and reforms in agricultural extension and create an ecosystem to promote agripreneurship development and Agri-Startups in the country in collaboration with public, private and NGOs sectors.

Mandate

To enhance the capacity and competencies of agricultural extension professionals, agripreneurs, students, and researchers.
To promote innovation in Agricultural Extension and Advisory Services (EAS) through capacity building, research, incubation, and knowledge dissemination.
To foster partnerships and policy dialogue for strengthening agricultural extension education and systems
To support curriculum reforms in higher education and mentor extension professionals in emerging areas of extension research, practice, and policy.

Major Focus

Organizing national and international training programs, workshops, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), webinars and offering internships for experiential learning.
Promoting digital innovation, community based extension, Farmer-to-Farmer extension, and sustainable Extension and Advisory Services (EAS) models.
Fostering partnerships among agri-food system actors by mentoring agri-startups and promoting value chain-based extension approaches.
Conducting policy research, preparing status reports, and engaging in evidence based advocacy for agricultural extension reforms.
Coordinating with agricultural universities under the MANAGE–University Alliance for curriculum reforms, competency enhancement, and sharing of best practices in Agricultural Extension and Advisory Services (AEAS)
