Vision, Mandate, Major Focus
Vision
- To provide policy inputs and technical advice to Govt. of India and State Governments for better decision-making in agricultural extension management and promote partnerships in agricultural development through policy advocacy and capacity building.
Mandate
- To design and evaluate agricultural extension policy and programs.
- To promote the public-private partnership in agricultural extension and advisory services.
- To undertake the training and capacity development of extension personnel of developing countries.
- To support the Government of India in bilateral collaborations with partner countries of India.
Major Focus
- Training and capacity development of agricultural professionals in developing countries.
- Policy advocacy on Agricultural Extension.
- Collaboration with International Organisations
- Promotion of public-private partnership in agricultural extension.
- Supporting SAMETIs/ ATMA for program implementation.
