Vision, Mandate, Major Focus
Vision
- To design and develop monitoring and evaluation system for agricultural development projects and provide policy inputs for better impact of schemes and programs in agriculture and allied sectors.
Mandate
- To promote understanding of the concepts, tools, and techniques of monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
- To provide policy inputs and undertake research on Secondary Agriculture, FPOs and Government of India schemes.
- To sensitize and train extension workers on participatory monitoring and evaluation approaches.
- To impart training on results-oriented monitoring and evaluation techniques to all stakeholders in agricultural development.
- To undertake consultancy services in agricultural marketing, FPOs and project monitoring and evaluation for public and private organisations.
- To establish collaboration with state governments, state agricultural universities, ICAR, pioneering FPOs, financial and bank institutions, NGOs and private sector companies.
Major Focus
- Capacity building and training on M&E tools and techniques, market-led extension, supply chain management in agriculture.
- Capacity building of CEOs and office bearers of Farmer Producer Organization (FPOs)
- Development of M&E strategies and action plans for agricultural projects and schemes.
- Providing policy inputs to the Government of India on doubling farmers’ income, crop insurance schemes, and performance of agricultural programs.
- Research studies on impact of agricultural programs, FPOs and Secondary Agriculture
