Vision

  • To enhance resilience and adaption to climate change in agriculture and ensure sustainable agriculture through effective management and capacity building.

Mandate

  • To build capacity in the area of climate change adaptation, sustainable agriculture and natural resource management.
  • To provide policy inputs and undertake research in the field of climate change adaptation, natural resource management and sustainable agriculture.
  • To promote Corporate Social Responsibility for agricultural development.
  • To establish collaboration with SAUs, ICAR Institutes, EEIs, SAMETIs, ATMAs, KVKs, private organisations, corporate companies and NGOs and national and international bodies such as ICRISAT, National Rainfed Area Authority (NRAA) and several networks

Major Focus

  • Nodal organization and knowledge repository for Promotion of Natural Farming
  • Climate-smart agriculture, adaptation and mitigation to climate change in agriculture and innovations in climate resilient agriculture.
  • Sustainable agriculture, natural resource management, watersheds, rainfed agriculture and water resource management.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility for agricultural development.
  • Developing professionalism through Certificate Courses.
