Centre for Gender in Agriculture, Nutritional Security & Urban Agriculture is one of the 12 Centers of National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE).
The center has organized 100 training programs/ workshops/ seminars/ conferences in the past 5 years, reaching out to nearly 3000 officers (men & women) from agriculture & allied sectors, pvt. Organizations, NGOs at national and international level, on the thematic areas of the Center.
To touch the lives of 1 million farm women and farmers, directly & indirectly to better their lives
• To reduce gender inequity in agriculture & allied sectors
• To strengthen food & nutritional security and improve malnutrition status of the country
• To increase food production in urban & peri urban areas
• To organize capacity building programs for middle & senior level officers in agriculture & allied sectors.
• To provide advocacy services to Central & State Govt. agriculture and line departments.
• To conduct action research for policy advocacy to the Central & State Govt. and other stakeholders.
• To undertake consultancy projects for national & international agencies.
• Publication of documents, policy briefs, research articles on the themes of the Center.
